About ElevatorFinder

The ElevatorFinder project provides a searchable historical record of elevators across the globe. We hold detailed information on every elevator and make it easily accessible to everyone.

How does the map work?

The elevator data is submitted and kept up to date by users of the site. Anyone can sign up and start contributing details, images and videos.

Which details are displayed?

Right now we keep the following information on elevator listings, along with user submitted images and videos:

• Location
• Building name
• Building address
• Elevator manufacturer
• Elevator model
• Number of elevators in bank
• Floors served (e.g. -1, G, 1 to 8)
• Install date
• Hoist mechanism (MRL, traction, hydraulic etc.)
